We all know that the majority of post-match interviews with footballers are usually dull affairs because players have a tendency to speak in cliches and avoid making any controversial statements. Have you ever tried to count the amount of times that you hear phrases like 'at the end of the day', 'the three points are all that matters' or 'it's not about me, it's about the team' being used? It's exhausting. In a bold break from this tradition, a striker that plays for Free State Stars in the South African Premier League might be in hot water with his wife after he said "I would like to thank my wife and my girlfriend" during his recent interview. Mohammed Anas scored twice as his side picked up a point away to Ajax Cape Town, but he might have some explaining to do when he gets home.
