Within just a few weeks, the 2025/26 Premier League season will be decided, and all will discover for absolute certain whether current leaders Arsenal have what it takes to secure a first league victory since the Invincibles of 2004.
Their hopes of winning that elusive 4th title were hit with a major setback on Sunday, as the Gunners lost 2-1 at the Etihad Stadium, meaning that should Pep Guardiola's side win convincingly at Turf Moor midweek, they will usurp the Gunners at the top.
On the opposite side of the table, fans will be keen to see if the Gunners' local rivals Spurs can escape their current plight to avoid an embarrasing relegation to the Championship, at the expense of either West Ham or Nottingham Forest.
For those unwilling to leave it all to chance, who would perhaps relish the opportunity to peer forwards into the future, to see what is most likely to take place, there is yet hope.
Thanks to leading football statistics experts Opta, a predicted Premier League table has been laid out.
Making use of stats like expected goals and expected wins, Opta have generated a total of expected points for each Premier League side.
These totals have all been tallied up and ranked up against each other to predict what the final Premier League table is most likely to look like.

Since the last report, Arsenal's predicted total has declined from 84 points down to 80, but this is still expected to be enough for the Gunners to secure the title over Manchester City, who are expected to only reach 78.
In the race for the Champions League, Aston Villa's convincing 4-3 victory over Sunderland sees them usurp Manchester United into expected 3rd place, but the Red Devils are still expected to stay within the top four.
The biggest shock off all appears to be the position of Bournemouth.
The Cherries' expected points total would see them finish 6th overall, sending Chelsea plummeting down into 7th.
At the bottom, north London giants Spurs (on just 36 points) would join Burnley and Wolves in relegation, with West Ham United surviving.
