Riyad Mahrez has reportedly failed to turn up for training.
According to
Sky Sports, Mahrez didn't report for training with Leicester City on Thursday morning. On Wednesday, Leicester rejected a fourth transfer bid for Mahrez from Manchester City. The final bid was worth a reported £65m, plus a City player, but the Foxes rejected it, as they wanted a fee closer to £95m for the 26-year-old.
Mahrez handed in a transfer request to try force a move to the Premier League leaders, but to no avail, and he will now be a Leicester player until the summer at least. Sky claim that:
"Mahrez is understood to have told Leicester his emotional state is not strong enough to play football at the moment."
The Algerian also reportedly refused to travel with the first-team squad for Leicester's game with Everton on Wednesday night.
