Exposed: The ‘Big Six’ club with the worst attack in the Premier League

Every Premier League team has been ranked.

The 2025/26 Premier League season has, perhaps more than any other in recent memory, proven that there is a declining correlation between investment on new players and goals scored.

Liverpool — who brought into two forwards for a combined £200 million — have massively regressed from their 2024/25 title-winning campaign, while league leaders Arsenal have seen expensive new acquisitions Noni Madueke and Viktor Gyokeres manage just 14 goals between them.

Meanwhile, teams like Brentford and Bournemouth have risen up to seriously challenge for European football, despite having lost to transfers many of the stars on whom previous seasons' success had been built.

Making use of Opta data, Sky Sports have now constructed a table breaking down how each Premier League club's attacks have performed over the past month, since March 13th.

The table bases each club's ranking via the number of goals scored, against the number of shots taken across the time period.

The table makes for tough reading for Chelsea fans.

The Blues have taken the most shots (67) all while failing to score a single goal since March 13th, leaving them ranked 20th out of the 20 Premier League teams, below even Wolverhampton Wanderers.

League leaders Arsenal have also seen their attack decline over the past few weeks, with the Gunners' coming in at 12th best in the division, after taking 49 shots for just four goals.

The Gunners' north London rivals Tottenham, still battling relegation, are imaginably also in a difficult position, having scored just three times from their last 51 shots.

Chelsea, Arsenal, and Spurs, the capital city's three biggest clubs appear to have seen the biggest decline in attacking form, and yet, all three still have the most to play for over the final five gameweeks of the season.

Should Chelsea, Arsenal, and Spurs manage to turn those shots into goals — between now and the final day — they may yet all save their seasons.
