The country will be submitting a pre-recording of their entry

Ukraine has confirmed that it will be taking part in the Eurovision Song Contest this year. They do not plan on being at the ceremony in Italy though, instead submitting a pre-recording of a performance of their song filmed in a "safe place." Ukraine's entry for this year's contest is KALUSH Orchestra. However, the rap group did say that "in the case of our victory over the occupiers by May" they will go to Italy to perform live for the contest. The rap group announced: "Despite the fighting, the KALUSH Orchestra will record their performance in a safe place, which will be sent to the organizers of the song contest, and in case of our victory over the occupiers by May, our delegation will go to Italy and sing live all over Europe!" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UiEGVYOruLk Eurovision 2022 will take place in Turin on Saturday May 14. Russia have already been banned from this year's contest, and a number of bookies have Ukraine as the favourites to win Eurovision following the invasion of the country. The UK will be represented by TikTok superstar and musician Sam Ryder, with his track Space Man. Related links:
