Manchester United fans jump to conclusions as Gonzalo Higuain completes Juventus move

 Juventus look to have got their man.

Numerous reports in Italy suggest The Old Lady have reached an agreement with Napoli for Gonzalo Higuain. The deal that will see the Argentine head to Turin with €90m (about 75m quid to you and I) going the other way. As far as Italian football goes, it goes without saying that this is a significant move. Juve have dominated Serie A lately, but appear to have prised away their closest rivals' key player. Despite Higuain's 38 goals for Napoli last season, Juve's willingness to pay such a high fee for a player who will be 29 by the time the season ends has raised a few eyebrows. As much as Juve are keen to stress that they can afford such a fee without having to sell any of their current crop of players, there's just no convincing some Manchester United fans that this isn't being funded by Jose Mourinho's big-money move for Paul Pogba. As we're all more than well aware by now, United have been linked with Pogba all summer, and despite a frenzy of reports suggesting a deal is close, we're still no closer to knowing if Mourinho will land the French midfielder.
