After this week's Champions League games, both Manchester clubs turn their attention to Sunday's derby at Old Trafford.

But despite being at home in the derby, Louis van Gaal has claimed that City have been given a huge advantage ahead of the game. With his United side travelling to Russia to face CSKA Moscow in potentially subzero conditions, the Dutchman clearly feels that City will be in better shape for the derby having played at home to Sevilla. "Every club at the top of the league has the same problems," the United manager is quoted as saying in the Mirror. "But now Manchester City has a benefit, because they are playing at home and that is a difference.[/caption] "The next time we may have the benefit, you never know. But it is important that it's like that, because you can have the benefit. You have the benefit of the recuperation." "Manchester City don't have the travel we have. So they have more rest. There is nothing you can do. They have the benefit. We do a lot of things to try and help." United are expected to return to Manchester on Thursday afternoon, following their second four-flight in a matter of days.
