Lionel Messi breaks Real Madrid supporter’s wrist ‘on purpose’

As if the El Clasico fires needed stoking, Lionel Messi warmed up for the April 2 clash by 'deliberately' breaking the wrists of a Real Madrid supporter over the weekend... or at least that's what she claims.
The diminutive Argentine failed to register as Barcelona tossed away a two goal lead in their 2-2 draw at Villarreal on Sunday.
In the first half, Messi pinged a wayward shot into the crowd, which was palmed away from a woman sitting in amongst the Villarreal supporters (not the first place we'd expect to find a die hard Real Madrid fan).
https://youtu.be/JPo0eVgXPaY The woman, who goes by the name of Raquel, has since explained to Spanish channel Cuatro that Messi's shot was powerful enough to break her wrist. Explaining that she's a Real Madrid supporter, she also jokingly suggested that Messi might have deliberately inflicted the injury because of her fondness for Cristiano Ronaldo. Barcelona have reportedly contacted the woman to apologise and have offered her the chance to attend a game at the Nou Camp... probably not the ideal get well soon present for a Real supporter.Explore more on these topics:
