It seems every Premier League club is splashing the cash this summer.

A new TV deal has bolstered the transfer funds of all the teams in the English top flight, and while many managers are lining up some big-money business, others are happy to be slightly more frugal with their spending. Take Jurgen Klopp for example. He may have coughed up £34m to bring Sadio Mane in from Southampton, but his other four signings don't amount to even a third of Mane's fee. As many football fans will tell you, a new striker would be useful but there's also a gaping, Jose Enrique (/ possibly Alberto Moreno)-shaped void waiting to be plugged at left back, too (yes, that is sarcasm). Although the Liverpool boss was expected to be on the lookout for a new left-sided full-back, it's now being reported that he may ditch such plans. According to a report in the Liverpool Echo, Klopp is prepared to use James Milner as the club's 'emergency left-back' rather than bringing in defensive cover. As the news filtered through to Liverpool's supporters, it's fair to say the reaction was a mixed one... https://twitter.com/Nascelotti/status/758782974271913985 https://twitter.com/lfc_nik/status/758783225619705856 https://twitter.com/olulfc/status/758782942193778688 https://twitter.com/BurtMacklinSOB/status/758783173824131073
