Remember how some people thought that getting the Manchester United job would mellow Jose Mourinho? That was fun, wasn't it?
Having arrived in Manchester earlier this summer, the former Chelsea boss has ruthlessly gone about crafting his first United squad.
Much of the talk has been about the big money signings and new arrivals, but his handling of Bastian Schweinsteiger has also generated headlines a plenty.
A mere two years after leading Germany to World Cup glory in Brazil, and one year after leaving Bayern Munich for Old Trafford, Schweinsteiger has been told by the new United boss that he isn't part of his first team plans.
It's a move that's seen some suggest Mourinho should be jailed (no, really), as well as ruffling a few feathers back in Germany.
Bayern Munich president, Karl-Heinz Rummenigge expressed his disbelief at the treatment Schweinsteiger had received.
"I could hardly believe it. One or two players are going to think long and hard in future about whether they want to go to such a club," Rummenigge said.
"Nothing like that has ever happened at Bayern Munich."
It's been a couple of weeks in the making, but Friday's press conference saw Mourinho respond to Rummenigge's comments. With no emotion in his face whatsoever, Mourinho sarcastically suggests that he expected Bayern Munich representatives to "run to Manchester to bring him back."
