Another day, another twist in the John Stones saga. With so much speculation linking him with a move to Chelsea, perhaps this development comes as no great surprise.

As reported on Sky Sports, Stones has handed in a transfer request to force through a move before the transfer window closes. With a new bid expected in the coming days from Chelsea - and Man United also sniffing around - it appears that the young defender is keen to find a new challenge. https://twitter.com/SkySportsNewsHQ/status/636197133142634496 It remains to be seen if the Everton board will accept a bid, with reports claiming they want around £35m for the centre-back. Following the defeat to Manchester City at the weekend, one board member indicated that Stones won't be going anywhere soon.
