Harry Redknapp wants to sign an old favourite but porn could get in the way

Maybe Harry Redknapp really will get the band back together.

Shortly after Redknapp signed a one-year contract extension at Birmingham, supporters leapt to conclusions about the names who would presumably show up on the veteran manager's transfer wishlist. Redknapp managed the left back at both Spurs and QPR, and he's admitted that he'd be eager to bring the 33-year-old, who spent the last year with Ligue 1 side Metz, into his set-up. "Somewhere inside I’m thinking I can get him going again," Redknapp said of the player when speaking to the Spurs Show podcast, as transcribed by the Birmingham Mail. After *hopefully* joking that Assou-Ekotto was keen on a career as a porn star, Redknapp was seemingly more serious when discussing the prospect of taking him to the Blues.
