As things stand, the FA are yet to appoint a permanent replacement for Mark Sampson as England Women's head coach.

Mo Marley is currently in the role on an interim basis, and recently named a squad for a ten-day training camp which will begin this weekend. Speaking on BBC Radio 5 Live on Wednesday, Chelsea left-back Claire Rafferty discussed who might be in line to take the role, suggesting Phil Neville may be interested. "Phil Neville's in the running for it," Rafferty said, although she does add that she doesn't know how much truth there is in the rumour. https://twitter.com/bbc5live/status/951245558856892416 Since calling time on his playing days in 2013, Neville has held coaching roles at Manchester United, the club at which he began his career. He also spent time coaching in Spain with Valencia, beginning the role before his brother Gary was appointed as the La Liga side's manager. Rafferty also added that several people had dropped out of the running for the position, one of those being John Herdman, who recently became manager of Canada's men's team after seven year's in charge of the country's women's team.
