Chelsea are set to return to Everton with a third bid for John Stones.

The Daily Mail report that Jose Mourinho fears a move for the young defender could be hijacked by either of the Manchester clubs. Stones, outstanding in Everton's victory at Southampton, could fetch £30m if sold - but his destination if he does leave Goodison is not as clear cut as it might have seen. Although Roberto Martinez has been quite vocal about his reluctance to sell Stones, any agreement to let him go to Chelsea could encourage more offers from City and United. As the transfer window enters its final weeks, the future of the defender is set to be one of the main talking points.
