Arsenal fans were disappointed to learn that midfielder Francis Coquelin was facing a spell on the sidelines.

According to reports, Arsene Wenger could even dip into the transfer market in a bid to bolster his midfield following the loss of the Frenchman. The midfielder currently plies his trade with Bundesliga club, Bayer Leverkusen - but he isn't the only name being linked with a move to the Emirates. Along with Bender, Portuguese international William Carvalho is a player that the report claims is also on the Arsenal boss's short-list.
