There's a certain type of confidence that lets a player believe that they can score directly from a corner.

Andrea Pirlo is the epitome of such confidence and he tried to catch out San Jose Earthquakes goalkeeper David Bingham during New York City FC's 3-2 victory. The Italian legend whipped in a vicious cross that clattered off the crossbar and while some cynics will say he was trying to find a teammate, we learned a long time ago not to question the genius of Andrea Pirlo. We reckon he must have been watching FC Dallas player Michel, who succeeded in scoring an olimpico against Pirlo's team not that long ago.
