Joe Rogan has gone viral again, although this time it has nothing to do with shooting homeless people and everything to do with his perspective on The Vatican.
During a recent episode of his now-infamous podcast, The Joe Rogan Experience, the 54-year-old UFC commentator and comedian branded The Vatican a "country filled with paedophiles and stolen art."
Speaking to guests Francis Foster and Konstantin Kisin, Rogan questioned why some global scandals receive more attention than others.
"Even the outrage about things you should be outraged about, like Jeffery Epstein, that outrage was balanced. Right? Sort of. Right?" he asked. "But what about the Catholic church?"
Rogan continued to explain his bewilderment upon learning that the Vatican is classed as a country. The area was designated a sovereign state in 1929 after the signing of the Lateran Treaty, granting the Pope legislative power.
By Rogan's own explanation: "It's a country filled with pedophiles. It's a country filled with pedophiles and stolen art.
"It's a small, like hundred yard - like what is it? A hundred acres, I think. Yeah. It's a hundred acre rather, country inside of a city filled with pedophiles."
Kisin then pointed out that Rogan could be sued for libel if he'd made the comments in the UK and would have to prove the Vatican was, in fact, filled with paedophiles.

"You can kind of prove that," Rogan replied.
The Vatican defrocked 848 priests between 2004 and 2014 for raping or molesting children and a further 2,572 priests were sanctioned with lesser penalties.
"I hope that's not true," Kisin said upon learning that the age of consent in Vatican City used to be 12.
Rogan replied: "Oh my God, it's true... The Vatican city's equal age of consent being raised from 12 to 18 following the announcement of an overall the Catholic church criminal code by Pope Francis."
