Certain psychologists claim that there is no such thing as an accident, and instead there is always some purpose that we do not yet understand...
But as much as we'd love to put this one down to a Freudian slip, we're fairly certain it was just a gaffe. Norman Smith was reporting the words of politician Patrick O'Flynn, who had this to say about Nigel Farage and his recent resignation: "What's happened since Thursday night, Friday morning has certainly laid us open to the charge that this looks like an absolutist monarchy or a personality cult..."
