All Birmingham City Council-run schools will be closed tomorrow due to the weather

School's out in the Midlands.

Birmingham City Council have confirmed that all schools in Birmingham will be closed tomorrow due to the snow. A spokesman for Birmingham City Council said: "Due to the recent adverse weather and forecast for freezing conditions overnight, I have instructed all Birmingham City Council-run schools and related school transport services to not operate tomorrow (Monday 11 December)" It adds: "This is because conditions will remain very hazardous tomorrow and the safety of our children and young people is of paramount importance. Even if pupils walk to school we will not be able to guarantee enough staff on site to look after them.
