All of the Nintendo Switch 2 games so far

Nintendo have announced details of new games for upcoming Switch 2 console.

The tech brand revealed that the much-anticipated console will be available to buy from 5 June.

Some of its features include new magnetic Joycon controllers, a 'C' button that will pull up the chat menu and you can communicate with friends while playing as well as 7.9-inch screen and 256GB of internal storage - eight times that of the original Switch.

There will also be a Nintendo Switch 2 camera so that you can add yourself to your game screen and video chat, and a new dock to enable 4K resolution.

Alongside this a whole host of games have been confirmed including Mario Kart World, which will feature 24 drivers in each race - the most in Mario Kart history - and allow players to drive off the race track.

Other titles include Hyrule Warriors: Zone of Imprisonment, Elden Ring Tarnished Edition, Hades II, Hogwarts Legacy with enhanced graphics and WWE 2K.

There will also be a James Bond game coming to the Nintendo Switch 2 as part of Project 007, with more details to be revealed soon.

How do I pre-order the Nintendo Switch 2?

The official pre-order details are yet be announced by Nintendo, but fans can expect it soon. Plus you can keep an eye out on the likes of Amazon, GAME and Currys for updates.

Gamers can also register their interest in pre orders on the Shopto website and pay just 1p to secure their spot. 

It has seen huge numbers of gamers sign up, with Shopto forced to limited pre orders to one per person to meet demand. However, there is a catch as Shopto also says pre orders are not guaranteed once the console is released.

They said: "We are excited to announce the opportunity to register your interest in the Nintendo Switch 2.

"Please note that the official price and allocation details have yet to be confirmed by Nintendo. Pre-orders are not guaranteed!

"You will be notified via email with updates as soon as we receive official news."

Can I still get the original Nintendo Switch?

If you’re not too bothered about the latest model and are hoping that the prices of the original Nintendo Switch and the OLED model are going to drop following the new release then that’s also a possibility.

Currently the Nintendo Switch is priced at £247, which is about £33 cheaper than its launch price, while the OLED is £270, which is just under £40 cheaper than its launch price.

They’ll both be ones to watch following the release of the Nintendo Switch 2 as you might be able to get some deals, including bundles featuring a game.
