Apparently it's not a real island.

It turns out that Paddy McGuinness sits on the throne of lies. After years of fooling us into believing that Take Me Out contestants were jetting off to 'the Isle of Ferdando's' after pairing up, it's now been revealed that such a place does not actually exist. The truth is that filming takes place on Tenerife's northern coast in Puerto de la Cruz. It had previously been that contestants would stay in the Botanico & The Oriental Spa Garden, but the new series has seen the lads and lasses taken to a private villa instead. The show's producers are so strict on contestants that he wasn’t even allowed to choose the clothes he wore during his appearance. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GZNy4Klxb4Y Male contestants are also chaperoned from the moment they pick a potential date, to avoid the two of them meeting before they are introduced in front of the cameras. Roscoe told Glasgow Live: "We were all given a babysitter who went everywhere with us. "For the first two days the boys were together, we all flew out together and the girls were on a separate flight. "They do this so we can't speak to the girls and spoil any reactions or say anything bad because they want to catch everything on camera.”
