Plenty of bands have been known to make weird and wonderful purchases in the middle of exhaustive tours, but New Found Glory have taken it to a new level after buying a thoroughbred horse.

The American punk band's guitarist Chad Gilbert bought the animal, which was hours away from being slaughtered, and named it New Found Glory - because you need that bit of egotism to make it in the music business. https://instagram.com/p/3Mk73QB-xI/ New Found Glory are playing the Reading and Leeds festivals this summer, but sadly they won't be joined on the bill by the likes of Foals and Band of Horses.
