We think of movie teasers as being quite a modern phenomenon...

The briefest glimpse of a forthcoming attraction is enough to break the internet with fevered speculation. But they're far from a recent invention. Long before Marvel were tantalising us with sneaky peeks, teaser trailers were tempting kids of the television age. Michael J Fox is 54 on Tuesday, and so here's the original teaser for Back to the Future from 1985. As you can see, it starts off looking like a Nike advert but there's enough hints of the famous DeLorean to get the heart racing.
