Looking at this clip, it's strange to think James McClean ever played for Sunderland.

The 26-year-old played the best football of his career for the Black Cats in the second half of the 2011/2012 season, scoring five goals in 23 Premier League appearances. The Derry winger's form under then manager Martin O'Neill saw him work his way into the Republic of Ireland squad for Euro 2012. mccleano Since then, McClean hasn't made the headlines for footballing reasons, and his latest incident involved a melee between Sunderland and West Brom players. Danny Graham and Lee Cattermole, in particular, took issue with McClean celebrating in front of the away support following West Brom's 1-0 win at The Hawthorns, and it's safe to say the winger isn't a popular man with Sunderland fans. They'd booed and jeered McClean throughout the game and, after the players had left the pitch, and the home fans left the ground, a section of Sunderland's fans sang a sectarian "song", called "F*** the IRA". Needless to say, this video is NSFW, and isn't on McClean's Spotify playlist. https://twitter.com/AwayDays_/status/655810428149374976?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw The ongoing feud between McClean and Sunderland fans means at least one Premier League footballer will celebrate if he scores against his former club.
