Woods won the season-ending Tour Championship in Atlanta by two shots, enough to claim his 80th PGA Tour title and his first since returning to the game from spinal surgery. The American's one-over 71 was enough for him to clinch victory. McIlroy slipped from contention as the day went on while Rose secured the overall FedEx Cup by finishing tied fourth. Woods' last tournament victory came in August 2013 at the WGC Bridgestone Invitational.
