Two ships passing in the night.

Aston Villa and Marcus Rashford are going in opposite directions at the moment. Villa, one of English football's most successful clubs, winners of the European Cup, seven league titles, seven FA Cups and five League Cups, have been relegated from the Premier League. Next season will be their first time outside the top flight since 1987/88. Meanwhile Rashford, the young Manchester United striker, was unknown outside Old Trafford until scoring a brace on his debut in the Europa League in February. The 18 year old scored the goal to relegate Villa on Saturday afternoon, his seventh since breaking into the first-team. Even more damning for the Birmingham club is that, since making his debut, Rashford has scored more than twice as many goals as Villa - seven to a measly three for an entire squad of players. https://twitter.com/Squawka/status/721346142643085313 It's just the latest in a long line of unwanted records for the fallen giants this season. However, the youngster is also making his team-mates look bad. Rashford has scored as many first-half league goals at Old Trafford for United this season, three, as the rest of Louis van Gaal's side put together. https://twitter.com/Squawka/status/721352103575351297
