For all the optimism about the club's new signings this season, there are few Manchester United fans who don't long for the days of Sir Alex Ferguson.
With that in mind, this photo will tug at the heartstrings of the more nostalgic among United's support. Germany's Euro 2016 qualifier in Scotland was the first time the countries had met since Bastian Schweinsteiger moved to Old Trafford, and it's clear the World Cup winner had done his research ahead of the game. The childhood United fan knew a certain Scotsman would be in attendance, and was delighted to meet a man without whose past success Schweinsteiger would probably not be playing in Manchester this season. https://twitter.com/UtdRantcast/status/641008088057819136?s=09 A game full of attacking verve ended 3-2 to the Germans, who continued on the offensive after Scotland twice pegged them back.
