When he's not the king of the understatement, Paul Scholes generally speaks his mind as a football pundit.
He has questioned Louis van Gaal's management on more than one occasion, whilst suggesting that the extremely popular Bastian Schweinsteiger has flattered to deceive since joining Man United. But when he's got nothing to say, he's got nothing to say.
Prior to the Red Devils' game with PSV Eindhoven, Scholes was asked a fairly straight-forward question by BT Sport host Gary Lineker: "Do you think that is United's best central defensive partnership - Smalling and Blind?"
The monotone ginger prince had a bit of think, before responding, "Don't know...couldn't tell ya."
