Then this Sunday afternoon, as Liverpool fans all got behind Sean Dyche's claret and blue army, Manchester City edged past a typically resilient Burnley 1-0 thanks to a Sergio Agüero goal that Matt Lowton so nearly cleared off the line. The right-back stopped the initial shot but could not prevent the ball from crossing the line before he cleared it properly.
