If you were a football fan in the 90s, seeing James Richardson sitting in a plaza eating a pastry will give you an instant warm feeling.

Back when we weren’t saturated with football on television all of time, Channel 4’s Football Italia was a godsend. While domestically we were stuck watching Brett Angell and Nicky Summerbee, it brought the likes of George Weah, Roberto Baggio and Alessandro Del Peiro into the homes of even those without Sky. On Easter Saturday at 10pm, BT Sport 2 are celebrating the history on this iconic show with Golazzo: The Football Italia Story, a full length documentary about it. A few clips have now been released, and they are getting us excited for the full film.
