Shane Long was seriously pissed off as he got taken off just 20 minutes after coming on

Saturday was a bad day all round for everyone involved at Southampton.

The Saints are in a bit of limbo at the moment. Currently in ninth position in the Premier League on 40 points, they won't get relegated and they won't get Europe. Their season will pretty much peter out. Shane Long has not had the best of seasons for the south coast club. The Republic of Ireland striker has only managed five goals in all competitions for the Saints - three in the Premier League, one in the FA Cup and one in the EFL Cup. Many of his appearances this season have come as a substitute, and it doesn't seem like he has the confidence of Claude Puel. Long made another appearance from the bench in Southampton's 3-0 defeat to Manchester City at St. Mary's. He only had 22 minutes on the pitch. As you could imagine, the Irish striker was not one bit happy about this.
