The Barcelona side contained famous names of the past such as Edgar Davids, Gaizka Mendieta, Patrick Kluivert and Rivaldo. While Louis Saha, Dwight Yorke, Park Ji-sung, Alan Smith, Ronny Johnson and Wes Brown took to the field for United in front of 30,000 spectators. The teams seemed mismatched on paper, but United managed to win by three goals to one, thanks to goals from Yorke, Blomqvist and Karel Poborsky. The best piece of skill on the night came from Ronaldinho, unsurprisingly.
