According to Sky Italia and respected journalist Gianluca Di Marzio, the Slovenian keeper has delayed ongoing talks to extend his stay at the San Siro due to United's interest.

Handanović is in a similar situation to that of De Gea, in that he is in the final year of his current deal, and could leave for free at the end of next season.
