Arsenal goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale has admitted that Liverpool forward Diogo Jota 'sent him to the shops' and made him look like a 'plonker' during a clash between the two sides.
The Reds attacker has scored past Ramsdale on four occasions this season, making a habit of bagging against the Gunners in both the Premier League and cup competitions.
The Portuguese international opened the scoring against Mikel Arteta's side at the Emirates earlier this month - beating England shot-stopper Ramsdale at his near post in a 2-0 victory for the Reds.
Ramsdale admits Jota 'sent him to the shops'
Jota also scored both of Liverpool's goal in the second-leg triumph over Arsenal in the Carabao Cup semi-final, as well as getting on the scoresheet in the 4-0 win over them in the Premier League at Anfield - where he sat Ramsdale down before slotting home.
Now, the Arsenal goalkeeper has admitted that the former Wolves man 'sent him to the shops' when the two sides faced-off against each other.
During a segment called 'Never Have I Ever' on Sky Sports, Ramsdale was asked whether he has been 'rinsed' by a world-class opponent.
He replied: "[Cristiano] Ronaldo, [Sergio] Aguero, [Jamie] Vardy.
"Jota – he sent me to the shops didn’t he. For a 'keeper, the goals which you look at and think, 'Made you look a plonker'."
Gunners going for fourth
Arsenal return to Premier League action when they travel to Crystal Palace on Monday night, with the Gunners keen to continue their push to finish in the top four.
However, Arteta could be without a number of key players for the clash against the Eagles, with Ramsdale and Takehiro Tomiyasu both missing a behind-closed-doors friendly on Wednesday.
