And yet in spite of his heroics, Pedro looked brim with melancholy whilst his teammates celebrated another trophy towards a historic second sextuple.
It should have been a glorious farewell; the perfect way to bow out. But the Catalan just looked incredibly sad.
Perhaps he was having second thoughts about leaving - or maybe he knew it was the end.
