Paul Scholes claims Jack Wilshere has ‘set his sights too low’ with Bournemouth loan swicth

Paul Scholes isn't impressed with Jack Wilshere's move to Bournemouth.

In fairness to Jack, little seems to impress the former Manchester United midfielder, who appears either underwhelmed or very underwhelmed when on punditry duty for BT Sports. However, Scholes made some valid points when asked about Wilshere's season-long loan move to Bournemouth. The Arsenal midfielder has, so far, failed to build on his early promise, and has suffered a series of injuries in recent seasons. "I would have liked to have seen him, if he did have to leave Arsenal, go to a big club like Roma," Scholes told Sky Sports.

"Get some experience abroad, I think that would have been great for him and would have been great for the England team as well."

It was put to Scholes that Wilshere's move to Bournemouth made sense because it would enable him to play regularly and regain fitness. However, Scholes isn't convinced that a move to the south coast necessarily guarantees this. "Just because he is going to Bournemouth, doesn't mean he is going to play all the time."
