One name in the all-time top international goal scorers list in Europe will really surprise you

When you think of the most prolific strikers in world football, you'll probably bring some of the game's greats to mind.

Pele, Diego Maradona, Stern John (we jest, but he's notched up an incredible tally) - these legendary players were goal machines. The list of Europe's top all-time international goal scorers is equally impressive. Hungary's iconic Ferenc Puskas tops the list with 84, along with fellow countryman Sandor Kocsis on 75. German's Miroslav Klose and Gerd Muller follow close behind. But then in among these illustrious bunch of goal scorers and World Cup winners, there's evergreen Irishman Robbie Keane. The fact that he's in the top 5 Europeans with the most international goals, while playing for a nation outside the likes of Italy or Germany, is testament to the man's abilities. He's scored an international goal in each of the past 18 years - and at 35 he's still banging them in, with two against Gibraltar in a 4-0 win in Euro 2016 qualifiers.
