With both Salah and Mane up for the Confederation of African Football Player of the Year award, meaning they will be at a ceremony in Ghana just 24 hours prior to Liverpool's FA Cup third round clash with Merseyside rivals Everton at the beginning of next month, Liverpool's top scorer has insisted that there's no problem with his teammate.
In fact, Salah insists that Mane might just be his closest friend at Liverpool.
"We are friends," he told Sky Sports. "We are very close to each other. Maybe he is my closest friend here in the team.
"We are friends, we like each other, he's a great guy and a fantastic player who is very fast with quality and confidence.
