Manchester United forged a fearsome reputation on their ruthless brand of attacking football.

Sir Alex Ferguson's sides were famous for being able to put rivals to the sword with devastating ease from the first minute to the last. Their never-say-die attacking philosophy has thrown up some incredible football moments down the years - not least the Champions League final in 1999 when stoppage-time goals from Teddy Sheringham and Ole Gunnar Solskjær gave them a historic 2-1 win over Bayern Munich. These famous victories have always been spurred on by the iconic 'Attack! Attack! Attack' chant from the Old Trafford terraces. While goals haven't exactly been flowing for United of late, Smalling and co are not leaking goals at the other end and are currently on an impressive run of five consecutive clean sheets. This is what the England defender said to BT Sport about United's most sacred mantra... https://twitter.com/btsportfootball/status/667730122686894080
