Allegations surfaced on Sunday morning

Mason Greenwood will not train with Manchester United for the foreseeable future, following allegations of domestic abuse, the club have confirmed. On Sunday morning, a young woman accused the forward of domestic abuse, posting photographs of injuries allegedly inflicted by him to her Instagram story. One story slide was captioned: "To everyone who wants to know what Mason Greenwood actually does to me." All the posts have since been taken down. United then released a statement in which they stressed that they "do not condone violence of any kind" and that they will make no comment until the "facts have been established." A few hours later, the club issued an update on the situation, saying: "Mason Greenwood will not return to training or play matches until further notice." https://twitter.com/hirstclass/status/1487812879076446208 Nike, who sponsor Greenwood, have also commented on the matter, saying: "We are deeply concerned by the disturbing allegations and will continue to closely monitor the situation."
