Louis van Gaal hasn't been afraid to spend big since arriving at Old Trafford. In just over a year, the Dutchman has splashed out over £220m on new players.
But apparently that isn't enough, as Manchester United are now thought to be lining up a £40m bid for Tottenham striker Harry Kane. Kane - who scored 22 goals last season - was left on the bench for Spurs' victory over AC Milan, with some believing his absence is linked to United's interest. https://twitter.com/Football__Tweet/status/628988811285037060 It's unlikely that Spurs will part easily with their leading man, but they may find it difficult to turn down £40m for a player who has only been a first-team regular for one season. Both teams will want to come to a solution before they meet on the opening day of the season.
