Manchester United fans slam Memphis Depay for first-half penalty

The first ever European tie between bitter rivals Liverpool and Manchester United will so far be remembered for a defensive error from Memphis Depay.

The Dutch attacker, who's had a difficult first season at Old Trafford, conceded a penalty when he pulled down Nathaniel Clyne before Daniel Sturridge tucked home the resulting spot kick. Initially it looked like the challenge had occurred just outside of the penalty area, but replays later showed that contact continued inside the box.
