Steven Gerrard might not be returning to Liverpool as a player, but he still holds his former team-mates very close to his heart.
You get the sense that the former club captain still kicks every ball, even if he can't be out there on the pitch, and things were no different for the victory over Manchester City. Gerrard had been blamed as a curse after the recent home defeat to Crystal Palace, but it's clear he was delighted by the Reds' latest away triumph.
