You can't accuse Jamie Vardy of lacking confidence.

The Leicester City striker is the Premier League's top scorer and in the running for a place in England's Euro 2016 squad. It has been a remarkable rise from non-league football, but the 28-year-old saw all this coming a long time ago. In an interview with the BBC, Leicester's head of player recruitment Steve Walsh revealed how Vardy had an England call-up in his sights when he arrived from then-Conference club Fleetwood Town. vardyf "He's such a confident lad he actually put in his contract when he joined Leicester for a bonus if he became an England player," Walsh revealed. There's no word yet on whether Vardy predicted that he would have more goals this season than Chelsea have points.
