The Euro 2016 play-off draw could have been better for Ireland, but it could also have been a lot worse.

Martin O'Neill's team will face one of Sweden, Ukraine, Hungary and Bosnia-Herzegovina in the play-offs for Euro 2016 after the final round of qualifiers brought some notable changes. Ireland would have required a favourable series of results to be seeded for the play-off draw but will instead have to face off against one of four fairly tricky-looking opponents, though some strong sides are no longer in the mix. collage A late winner for Turkey against Iceland means that they, rather than Hungary, will qualify as the best third-placed team. Croatia also sealed automatic qualification with a win over Malta, while the Netherlands will not even make the play-offs after losing to the Czech Republic. The play-off draw will take place on Sunday morning, with both legs of the play-off to take place in November.
