Michael Owen and Paul Scholes believe Man United can win the league

Be afraid, Liverpool fans. Be very afraid.

It took Liverpool Football Club three long decades to finally be crowned champions of England. Not since the very beginning of the nineties could they legitimately lay claim to Sir Alex Ferguson's proverbial 'perch'. But if they're not careful, they could lose their title within a year - and to their most fearsome foes too. Manchester United are the form team in the country. They are only the third team in Premier League history to win ten consecutive away games. They've come from behind to win each of their last six games on the road. In total, they've won 388 points from losing positions - more than any other team in Premier League history. Most relevantly, if they win their game in hand, they will be second in the table - only two points behind Jurgen Klopp's men. All this and their results at Old Trafford have let them down. Imagine if they actually sorted out their home form? Following another comeback victory over Sheffield United on Thursday night, both Paul Scholes and Michael Owen conceded that the Red Devils could feasibly win the league this season.

"I think if they can keep nine or ten players fit for the next 26 games they will be there [winning the league]. They've found an exciting way of playing," Scholes told Amazon Prime Sport. "Fernandes in the number 10 role feeding Martial, Rashford and Greenwood. How fantastic is that? They're one of the best, quickest finishers around in Europe when they get chances."
