After a frankly disastrous 12 months of league football, Alan Pardew has finally been dismissed by Crystal Palace.

The former Newcastle United boss enjoyed an impressive start to life at Selhurst Park, and even reached the FA Cup final last season. But a run of four points from 10 Premier League games convinced the London club to 'pard ways' with their manager. The club currently sit one place and one point above the Premier League's bottom three, and that Jason Puncheon cup final strike seems an eternity ago.

Luckily for Pardew, he didn't do anything stupid after that goal that people will be able to use to mock him.

It would be a shame to bring up his most embarrassing moment at this difficult time.

The man's just lost his job, let's not make things worse for him.

Right before Christmas, too. What a time to go.

Whatever happens next, we'll always have the proud memories of a humble man who always reacted with dignity to the good and the bad.

Goodnight, sweet prince.

Former England manager Sam Allardyce leads the way, and he presents a good opportunity for the club to move past hiring the sort of manager prone to embarrassing dad-dancing and replace him with a more serious individual.   https://twitter.com/Jignashm/status/811957091258822656
