Raheem Sterling's reign of mediocrity in an England shirt at Euro 2016 is set to end, as a starting player at least.

The Manchester City winger started the Group B games against Russia and Wales, but put in two distinctly underwhelming performances. Sterling was removed at half-time during England's 2-1 victory over Wales on Thursday, and will not be on the bench for the Slovakia game on Monday, according to The Guardian. Harry Kane is also set to miss out, with manager Roy Hodgson recognising that the Spurs' striker is fatigued after an exhausting club season. GettyImages-540684260 Daniel Sturridge, who scored the last minute winner against Wales, is set to replace Kane. Jamie Vardy, who scored England's equaliser, could come in for Sterling, with Jack Wilshere also in contention. However, if England are trailing in the game, don't be surprised to see Hodgson use his special "tactic" and send on every striker available to him.
