Emre Can is set to be out for between four and six weeks with ruptured ankle ligaments.

The Liverpool midfielder limped out of the side's dramatic 4-3 victory over Borussia Dortmund on Thursday night, and left Anfield on crutches. The club confirmed the news on Saturday morning. It means Can will miss both legs of the Europa League semi-final against Villarreal, as well as the conclusion of the Premier League season. However, there's a chance he could be available for the Europa League final, should Liverpool progress past their Spanish opponents. With Jordan Henderson also out injured until the end of the season, Can's absence leaves Liverpool light on midfield options. The 22 year old German has been in impressive form recently for Jurgen Klopp's side. https://twitter.com/AnfieldHQ/status/721272519504871425 https://twitter.com/Squawka/status/720674464535613441
