Juventus maintained their 100% start to the new Serie A season on Sunday in a game that will be remembered for Cristiano Ronaldo scoring his first goals for the club
Ronaldo
scored two second half goals against Sassuolo, helping the Italian champions to a 2-1 victory.
Sassuolo scored their only goal of the game in stoppage time, with Douglas Costa sent off for the home side soon after.
The former Bayern Munich winger was not blown up for a strong challenge on Federico Di Francesco in the build-up to the visitor's goal and appeared to elbow him as he attempted to get back to his feet.
With the pair exchanging words soon after the incident, Douglas somehow managed only to get a yellow card for a head-butt on Di Francesco which took place right in front of the referee.

The Brazilian was soon sent off, however, after a consultation with VAR showed the winger had spat at his opponent prior to the head-butt.

Despite the unsavoury end to the game, Juve maintained their 100% start to the new season. Even at this early stage in the campaign, they are the only Serie A club to have won all of their games so far.
They will now turn their attention to Wednesday night and their first Champions League game of the season, away to Valencia.
